The CNE Ambassador Competition is about to begin. Markham’s own Christine Blizzard will represent the Markham and East York Agricultural Society at the Toronto competition. Members of the Markham Fair wish Christine all the best in the competition at the CNE. The winner of this competition will be crowned the Ambassador of Ontario Fairs. Good luck Christine!
2012 Ambassador of the Fairs Finals
For 40 years, young representatives from fairs across Ontario have competed to become the Ambassador of the Fairs. This year-long title takes the winner across Ontario as a representative of the CNE and all agricultural fairs. Since its inception in 1971, more than 1300 young people from 100 communities throughout the province, have taken part in this illustrious contest. This year the event takes place at the CNE from August 17 to August 19, with the winner being crowned the Sunday afternoon (August 19) in the Queen Elizabeth Theatre.
