Car prize winner

Thanks to the communities of Markham and Stouffville for making our new fair raffle a resounding success.  Service Clubs, non-profit groups, sports teams, church groups, and others, sold raffle tickets over the past year and two prizes were given away!  At the 2011 Fair, Krista Ellis-Smith of Stouffville claimed the early bird prize of a 50 inch big-screen TV!  And this year, at the close of the 2012 Fair, Jennifer Lee, also of Stouffville, won the grand prize, a brand new car – a GM Sonic – sponsored by Markville Chevrolet!

Participating community groups had the opportunity to sell our raffle tickets and earn funds for their own needs.  Raffle tickets, at $25 each, included a chance to win, and a free adult entry to the Fair.  Markham Fair is very appreciative of the work of our community groups, the purchasers of the tickets, and Markville Chevrolet.
