We are thinking of bringing our grade one classes. Are supervisors admitted free, or do they need to pay an admission as well?
Thanks

St. John Chrysostom School, Newmarket
Karen, Thanks for your comment/question. If you are arriving with the school buses on Thursday or Friday morning, the price of admission is $2 per student and $2 per chaperone. Parking attendants will collect your addmission on the bus just as you arrive. If you are coming through the gate not as a school group, regular admission applies. Also check out the Education pages on this website for more information.

I was thinking of getting wristbands for my kids for the rides. Where can I get them from and do they still have to pay to get into the fair if they have the wristbands?
Patricia, Great question/comment! Check out the Buy Tickets page for midway ticket locations. http://www.markhamfair.ca/buy-tickets/ You can also buy them online direct from World’s Finest Shows. Remember they are only on sale until the Wednesday before the fair. Wristbands cannot be purchased during the fair. Writsbands do not include admission, however you can buy that online too if you prefer. See you at the fair!
Annie
I would like to bring my class of Adult ESL students from YRDSB on Friday. Can you confirm the price for ESL students as $2.00?
Hi Annie,
Thanks for your comment/question. Any school groups, including public school, high school and adult ESL groups coming to the Fair , Thursday and Friday during the day (during school hours) when the school kids come, (not at night and not on the weekend) are charged $2.00 per student and $2.00 per adult supervisor. The students must arrive as a group and not individually.
See you at the fair!

Out daughter is in the baby contest, do one of the parents get in free as she is entered in an event?
The baby contest doesn’t give out free passes, sorry. But you will have the adoration of friends and family and the attention of many photographers! There are also some pretty nice gifts and prizes. Did you read the article by Rogers Gardham about the baby contest? Good luck and see you at the fair!

First time visitors to the Markham fair. We would like to bring our grandsons to the monster trucks on Thursday. What is the cost of the tickets? Do we pay admission into the fairgrounds and into the monster trucks?
Dianne, Thanks for your questions/comments. The admission price into the grounds includes access to all the main events on the track and thoughout the grounds. Monster trucks on Thursday, tractor pull and Superdogs on Friday, demo derby on Saturday. Have fun!

Hi,
If i’m planning to come on the weekend, can i just buy admission tickets at the door or do i need to buy them in advance?
And do you have a link for a schedule of times of each show/location?
Does the admission fee pay for All the shows ie. dirt bike, monster trucks?
Thanks
Juan, Thanks for your comment/question. Yes you can buy your admission tickets at the door. Admission includes all events inside the gate, except the midway of course.

Hi again,
Also is the the road from entrance to the craft buildings paved ? (for wheel chairs and walkers )
Thanks again
Our property was developed in the late 1970’s and although much of the grounds are paved, we do not necessarily conform to the accessibility expectations of our current times. We make every effort to welcome and accommodate people with all abilities and in time, we do expect our grounds to be fully accessible.
To be specific with your question, there is continuous pavement from the main gate to the Homecraft Building.

Will a colouring page be available this year for the elementary children to colour and get into the fair free? (I think this was usually sponsored by Tim Horton’s???)
Thanks.
Grace, Thanks for your comment/question. The colouring poster will be available at surrounding Tim Horton’s and distributed to some local schools.
Ivy
Hi,
This is our first time visiting the fair. I am planning to bring in a group of school children from the age of 15months to 6 years old to the fair on either Thursday or Friday. We are not part of Elementary School groups or ESL, therefore, will the admission fee still be charge as $2.00 per adult and $2.00 per child from 4 years old and above?
Ivy, Thanks for your comment/question. If you are a school group arriving in a school bus on Thursday or Friday, then the School Group rate would apply. Otherwise it will be $15 per adult and $2 per child under 12 years of age. Hope this helps? See you at the Fair!
Joan
I have a child with Autism, Would he fall under the disabled child cost. Or how much would he be to get in?
Thanks for the comment Joan, Special Needs and their Caregiver are free.
Andrew
What is the age range for people considered to be a senior at the admission, please?
Andrew, thanks for your comment/question. Senior admission rate applies to people 60+. See you at the fair!
Donna
I am a home educator. Do the school rates apply for home educators and their students? If so, how do we enter the fair?
Thanks for your comment Donna. Yes they should get in as a School Group if they come during school hours on Thursday and Friday. As to how they will do this; have them go to the ticket windows and ask the supervisor and tell her they are home schooled. The Supervisor will know she should let them in as a school group. Make sure it is the main ticket building (East entrance) and not the one by McCowan Rd.
