Homecraft President’s Message – 2011

On behalf of the Homecraft Division of the Markham Fair, I am pleased to extend a warm welcome to all of our exhibitors and visitors as we celebrate the 167th Markham Fair. It is all of our exhibitors, and committee members who work so hard to ensure the success of the Fair. For that work, we are all grateful.

As you look through this prize book or on the Markham Fair web site, I hope that you will be encouraged to enter and exhibit in many of the sections. Please take this Prize Book home and let a friend or family member browse through it, or let them know about the web site so they too can participate. The Fair will be here before you know it, so it is time to plan your entries.

Becoming an exhibitor will make your visit to the Fair much more meaningful. In our prize book we list many sections, with a variety of classes that attempt to appeal to all ages and interests. I’m sure you can discover an exciting challenge for your talents. Good Luck!!!

Come and be part of the Markham Fair for 2011: There will be many exciting things to see and to do throughout the fairgrounds, including the demonstrations by local artisans and the wonderful display in the Homecraft buildings.

Thanks to the countless volunteers, the Board of Directors and the Markham Fair Office staff for all their hard work throughout the entire year. It is these people, and you the exhibitors who ensure we always have a wonderful Fair, each and every year.

I truly believe the Fair brings out the best in all of us, with its family atmosphere and fun events destined to bring a smile to anyone’s face. Time spent with friends and family is precious, so come join us to make memories to last a lifetime. I know I am looking forward to taking my friends and family to this year’s Markham Fair.
