Whitchurch-Stouffville Mayor’s Message – 2011

On behalf of Members of Council and the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville, it is my pleasure and privilege to welcome you, and your family, to the 2011 Markham Fair.

Should this be your first visit, I am confident you will enjoy yourself so much that this outing will become an annual event for your family! Markham Fair not only demonstrates our heritage at its best, but lives up to its reputation of being Canada’s largest four-day Fair. It provides you with a vast selection of events to enjoy, for example the Demolition Derby; Teen Talent show; horse and pony shows, and that extraspecial event, the Monster Truck Madness! Of course, the all time favourites remain, such as the home craft exhibits, livestock shows, stage shows, and the amusement park.

My personal thanks to the organi;z:ers and volunteers who each year strive to maintain the high level of excellence now expected by our visitors. However, it takes many hours of planning and teamwork to achieve the results we have all come to enjoy, and we truly appreciate the fact that without the unwavering commitment of our volunteers there would be no Markham Fair!
