Markham Fair is once again hosting the Demolition Derby competition on Thursday, October 1, 2009. This is a fan favourite! There are 4 classes of metal crushing mahem! Straight stock 8 cylinders, Pro-Modified 8 cylinders, 4 Cylinders mini-mash, 4 cylinder regional championship heat ($1000 prize money) classes will challenge the drivers and entertain the fans!

Approximately 50 pre-loved automobiles will take centre stage at Markham Fair for the sole purpose of committing the maximum amount of damage possible and still be in running condition to win.

Winners of individual heat scramble to repair their vehicles in preparation for the final heat. The last car running takes the trophy.

The smell of smoke and noise are guaranteed to draw huge crowds to this yearly spectacle.
