Heavy Horse Show at Markham Fair

This year’s heavy Horse Show continues with the two significant changes made last number of years.

First, the show has moved from Friday competition to competing on Saturday, still on the race track, in front of the grandstand!

The second change is Markham Fair’s Heavy Horse Competition has become part of the North American Six Horse Hitch Classic series. This means that exhibitors competing in the six horse hitch class can accumulate points at Markham as well as various other fairs throughout North America. The top twelve six hitches in points at year’s end, which will consist of 4 hitches each from the Clydesdale, Percheron and Belgian division, will then compete for a Champion and Reserve Champion Six Horse Hitch of the year.
