Whitchurch-Stouffville Mayor's Message - 2010

On behalf of Members of Council and the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville, it is my pleasure and privilege to welcome you and your family to the 2010 Markham Fair.

If you are a regular visitor to Markham Fair, I have no doubt you have your favourite events and your ‘must see’ exhibits. However, if this is your first visit, I am confident you will enjoy yourself so much that this outing will become and annual event! Markham Fair demonstrates our heritage at its best, with you and your family now having the unique opportunity to enjoy not only the rural atmosphere, but a varied selection of home craft exhibits, livestock shows, horse racing, stage shows and the amusement park to name but a few.

My personal thanks to the organizers and the hundreds of volunteers who each year undertake what at first must appear to be an overwhelming challenge. To ensure the success of this annual event involves many hours of hard work, planning and working together as a team. Without the unwavering support and dedication of the many people behind the scenes there would be no Markham Fair!
