Project Description

Royal Canadian Mounted Police Musical Ride Performing at Markham Fair October 4 to October 6

Markham Fair is proud to welcome the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Musical Ride to Markham. On October 3 to October 6, residents and visitors are invited to come out to see the world-renowned troop of 32 horses and riders perform at Markham Fair. Their performance consists of intricate figures and drills choreographed to music. These movements demand the utmost control, timing and coordination.

Markham Fair will welcome the Musical Ride with a full four days of activities for the whole family. Every year, the Musical Ride brings its show to communities across the country to perform a variety of figures and drills choreographed to music. The show provides the public with an opportunity to experience the heritage and traditions of the RCMP.  The riders act as ambassadors of goodwill who promote the RCMP’s image throughout Canada and all over the world. Activities are still being planned to accompany this truly Canadian experience and the Musical Ride is included with admission to Markham Fair.
