Hi, do you have to live in Markham to enter the competitions?

Hi Krissy, Thanks for you inquiry. It is not always necessary for you to be a resident of Markham in order to enter the competitions. However, that is the general rule. See the contest details for specific rules regarding each competition requirement.

Some students at Greensborough PS want to enter some artwork in a catagory above their current grade level. Is this allowed? Please advise. (eg. a grade 4 wants to enter some work into the grade 5 catagory because she likes the subject matter better.)

Hello Ms.Barbeau, Thanks for your comment/question. We do prefer that students compete in their specified grade to ensure that everyone has a fair chance at winning. They are also welcome to compete in the Open Special categories 67-81 which are open to students in every grade.
We would appreciate any ideas/feedback as to what art projects Grade 4 students might be interested in as we begin thinking about our 2014 prize list. You can e-mail us your ideas or any other questions directly at schoolchildrens@markhamfair.ca
