Harvest Moon, a celebration of local food, local beer and local wine, has been postponed until 2016. Thank you to the many producers of locally made food and drink for your commitment and planned participation, and thanks as well to the many citizens of Markham and area that planned to attend. We will make an announcement in the coming weeks about a bigger and better event planned for 2016! This event will bring together local wineries and local breweries – and their award-winning products – and attendees will have the opportunity to sample them! Additionally, many local restaurants and food trucks will be providing sample-sized, and full-sized meals that you may enjoy with your beverage samples! There will also be a showcase of vendors with complimentary products available for purchase.

Coming to Markham fairgrounds on August 21 and 22, 2015.

Throughout the event there will be staged cooking demonstrations showcasing local produce, providing attendees with a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the creation of delicious meals from the bounty of our farmland.

Entertainment will be provided during Harvest Moon, and live musicians will perform on-stage.  In keeping with our theme of “local”, all performers hail from our local community.

The atmosphere will be light and warm, and we look forward to a wonderful, casual gathering of area-residents.  This is a 19+ event, and will be especially appealing to young professionals, couples, women, groups of friends, and young-at-heart seniors.  Admission will be $10 at the door, and tokens will be available for $2 each.  All “samples” and food products will be available for purchase by tokens.

Enjoy an afternoon or evening at Harvest Moon on Friday, August 21st from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM or Saturday, August 22nd from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Markham Fairgrounds, 10801 McCowan Road, Markham.  The event is planned to be held outdoors beneath the sunshine and stars, and  will be moved indoors only if the weather is particularly inclement.
