June 7, 2019 (Toronto, ON) — Breakout Canadian country singer Manny Blu is releasing his collection of summer-ready anthems today with the debut of his premiere EP, Leave It Like It Is. Stepping off a successful run across Canada as part of the Hit After Hit Tour, Blu will bring his first collection of toe-tapping tracks to fans just in time for the warmer weather. Building on the buzz, Blu will also be heading out this Fall on his own Leave It Like It Is Tour, stopping at Frosh Weeks and Fall Fairs across Ontario.
“Finally being able to share my first full EP is really exciting,” said Manny Blu. “The responses I’ve gotten from the singles so far has been beyond incredible and I can’t wait for everyone to hear the entire EP when I hit the road this fall.”
The Montreal native’s debut EP will bring together seven tracks, including his first two singles “X On My Heart” and “Looking Forward To Looking Back,” in addition to his current single and Blu’s first on Canadian country radio “Like It Like That.” With its video premiering on SiriusXM and currently showing on CMT, Blu is already defining his place in country music.
Inspired by the sounds of everything from B.B. King to Tim McGraw, the Nashville transplant is bringing his own sound to modern country music with the launch of Leave It Like It Is. Tracks like ‘11:59’ play tribute to the songs that sparked Blu’s love of country music – bringing him back to those summer nights, hanging out with friends and listening to country, where this journey began. Others like ‘Playback’ showcase Blu’s passion for genres outside the country music realm, inspired by the pop-world and the likes of Maroon 5.
Leave It Like It Is is a testament to Blu’s ability to hone his craft as a young country artist. Filled with heart, soul and get-up-and-dance grooves, Blu’s debut EP will pave the way for the upcoming tour season and leave his personal stamp on country music. Blu celebrated his EP release at True Music Room and Bar in Nashville last night to kick off a weekend of celebration for CMA Fest in Nashville.

ABOUT MANNY BLU
Manny Blu, a recent transplant to Nashville, has wasted no time putting himself smack dab in the middle of Nashville’s music scene. However, music wasn’t Manny’s first passion. Hockey, Golf and MMA were where his heart found happiness. Putting his efforts into MMA training for years, he made his amateur debut on Oct 12, 2013. He emerged victorious, although walked away injured and requiring time to rest and recover. Being inspired by none other than BB King during this time off from MMA, Manny picked up the guitar and began learning to play. He had no idea that learning a few chords could dramatically change his career path.
Even though music didn’t come first to Manny, he has a few family ties to it. Manny’s family immigrated to Canada from Italy about a century ago. One of his grandfather’s many jobs was playing clarinet in the local band in Montreal. With the earnings he made from performing, Manny’s grandfather gifted his family with the money so they could start up their cheese business. Even Manny’s mom grew up learning and playing classical piano.
Since his MMA injury and focus shift towards music, Manny has continued writing and performing throughout Canada honing his craft and abilities. Being influenced by the talents of John Mayer, Adam Levine, Jordan Davis, and Sam Hunt Manny continued working on his writing for his debut EP. Eventually, taking meetings and building his network that lead him to relocate to Nashville to work on his new record and build his career.
Once Manny knew the direction of the project and his goals, he decided to create his art at none other than Blackbird Studios where the likes of Alicia Keys, Dan + Shay, Ed Sheeran, Kane Brown, and many other artists have recorded and perfected their sound. With his debut EP coming out in the spring of 2019, you can be sure catch Manny Blu performing these new songs around Nashville and beyond.
