The Markham Fair Board of Directors, on behalf of the staff and hundreds of volunteers, would like to thank everyone involved, for another successful year at Markham Fair. We are especially grateful to our fair visitors for attending, our exhibitors for displaying their animals and handicrafts, our sponsors for supporting the fair financially, our concession vendors for supplying such a wide array of food and merchandise, the service clubs for their dedication and support, the York Regional Police, Emergency Services, Markham Fire Department and St. John’s Ambulance for their professionalism and care, and of course our many suppliers and business partners for their expertise and service. The Markham Fair is truly a community event and we rely on our many stakeholders to ensure our annual tradition continues to be such an overwhelming success!
With a cool and sunny Saturday and warm and humid Sunday, our crowds enjoyed the ever-popular monster trucks, demolition derby, horse, beef and other farm animal shows, homecraft exhibits, the thrills of the midway operated by World’s Finest Shows, a large Agri-Food tent with hands-on demonstrations, and all sorts of entertainment on stage and throughout the grounds. The livestock arena was the venue for the All Ontario Limousine beef cattle show in 2019 as well as The National Blonde d’Aquitaine Show. Special attractions this year included RCMP Musical Ride, OPP Golden Helmets Precision Motorcycle Team, Manny Blu, Robyn Ottolini, Paw Patrol’s Chase and Skye, Ontario Xtreme Cowboy Obstacle Challenge, and Kiki Totally Outrageous, Young and old, families and friends, gathered to enjoy the 2019 Markham Fair, “Celebrating Old Traditions, Creating New Memories”.
Plans are already underway for the 176th Markham Fair to be held on October 1, 2, 3, 4, 2020, an annual tradition since 1844. Always the weekend before Thanksgiving!
