Each year, we receive a high volume of vendor applications. While returning vendors are given priority, all applications are carefully reviewed for product uniqueness and how well they complement the Markham Fair experience.

Please note: You may not hear back from us until after September 1st, and in some cases, we may not be able to offer space. 


2025 CONCESSIONS SPACE PRICING

(Prices do not include HST)

INDOOR SPACE

10 ft x 10 ft Booth

  • Cost: $720
  • Interior corner: additional charge of $125.
  • Exterior corner: additional charge of $250 (may only be purchased with the adjacent booth).
  • Additional space is sold in increments of 10 feet.
  • Includes access to one 120-volt, 15-amp outlet.

Note: A limited number of 10 ft x 15 ft booths are available at $1,080.  Please email concessions@markhamfair.ca to inquire.

10 ft x 5 ft Booth

  • Cost: $412
  • Interior corner: additional charge of $100.
  • Additional space is sold in increments of 10 feet.
  • Includes access to one 120-volt, 15-amp outlet.
  • Only available to vendors promoting or selling a service

Indoor vendor spaces will include 8-foot-high curtained back walls and 3-foot-high side dividers. Vendors are responsible for providing their own tables, chairs, extension cords, additional lighting, and any other equipment needed for their display.

OUTDOOR SPACE FOR NON-FOOD VENDORS

  • Cost: $340 for a minimum rental of 15 linear feet.
  • Additional space is available in 5-foot increments for an extra fee.
  • Depth is 15 ft to 20 ft, depending on the location.
  • Includes access to one 120-volt, 15-amp outlet.  

OUTDOOR SPACE FOR FOOD VENDORS

Cost for 220-volt hookup: 30-amp = $250, 50-amp = $275, 80-amp = $300.

  • Cost: $386 for a minimum rental of 15 linear feet.
  • Additional space is available in 5-foot increments for an extra fee.
  • Depth is 15 ft to 20 ft, depending on the location.
  • Food concessions are charged a waste removal service fee of $120 per booth.
  • Hydro:
    • Includes access to one 120-volt, 15-amp outlet.
    • Additional 15-amp outlets are available at $50 each.
    • Cost for 220-volt hookup: 30-amp = $250, 50-amp = $275, 80-amp = $300.

Outdoor vendors are responsible for providing their own tent or shelter, tables, chairs, extension cords, additional lighting (recommended), and any other equipment needed for their display.


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

1. Liability Insurance

All vendors must provide a Certificate of Insurance that

  • confirms a minimum of $5,000,000 Commercial General Liability coverage including Products and Completed Operations;
  • Lists the Markham and East York Agricultural Society (not Markham Fair) as an additional insured; and
  • Verifies that coverage is in effect for the full duration of the Fair including, set-up and take-down days.

Certificates must be emailed to concessions@markhamfair.ca by September 18, 2025.  Vendors will not be permitted to move in or set up without proper insurance coverage and evidence thereof.  Failure to provide a certificate of insurance before the opening day of the Fair will result in the vendor forfeiting their license and no refund will be provided.

We’ve partnered with Duuo Insurance to offer Markham Fair & Markham Fair Artisan Market vendors affordable short-term insurance coverage that meets our requirements. A link to preferred partner pricing will be available in the coming weeks. 

2. House Trailers 

  • Cost: $25 per day, per trailer.
  • Limited space is available for parking house trailers and the fee must be included in the Concession Space Application/License for consideration and approval.  The location is to be at the discretion of Markham Fair.  
  • Overnight stays in the Concession area are prohibited.

3. Vendor Admission

  • Each concession will be allotted 8 passes at check-in.
  • Extra passes may be purchased for $12.00 each.
  • These reduced rate passes are only available from the Concessions Office. 
  • Markham Fair reserves the right to limit the number of purchased passes available to any vendor.
  • Parking is free for everyone.

4. Set-Up

Indoor Vendors

  • Tuesday, September 30th from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm
  • Wednesday, October 1st from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm

Outdoor Vendors (Food & Non-Food)

  • Monday, September 29th from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
  • Tuesday, September 30th from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm
  • Wednesday, October 1st from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm

Vendors MUST be in place and fully operational no later than 8:00 pm Thursday, October 2nd or the vendor may forfeit their license and rental fee.

5. Hours of Operation

Vendors MUST be present throughout the entire event, rain or shine.  Admission gates open promptly at 9:00 am each day of the Fair.  Indoor and Outdoor booths must be open and staffed by competent personnel during all of the following event hours:

Thursday, October 3rd9:00 am to 10:00 pm
Friday, October 4th 9:00 am to 10:00 pm
Saturday, October 5th 9:00 am to 10:00 pm
Sunday, October 6th 9:00 am to 06:00 pm

The Commercial Buildings will open at 8:30 am each morning for vendors to restock, set up or clean up.  All vehicles must be off the Fairgrounds 15 minutes before the opening of the Fair.

6. Restocking

Buildings will open 30 minutes before the Fair’s opening time for vendors to restock their booths.  Vehicles will be allowed onto the Fairgrounds from 8:00 am to 8:45 am.

7. Booth Accessories

Indoor booths include drapery, with 8 ft high backs and 3 ft high side dividers.  To ensure that all vendors have a good sightline from the aisle, displays must not exceed the height of the drapery.  Minor variations, such as step-down sidewall displays may occur, but must not exceed 8ft high beyond 4 ft from the back wall.

Tables, chairs, skirting, tablecloths, etc. are not provided by Markham Fair.

8. Space Allocation

Every effort will be made to accommodate requests for specific booth spaces; however, Markham Fair makes final allocations. In addition, should adjustments to the floor plan be deemed necessary, Markham Fair reserves the right to relocate booths as required at any time.

9. Tents

Vendors who plan to erect a tent or awning over their booth must include the added space necessary to accommodate guide wires and supports. All applicable building codes must be adhered to and relevant costs paid for by the Licensee.

10. Pets

Pets are not allowed on Markham Fairgrounds, except pets taking part in a Fair event which must be leashed. Leashed service or working animals required to assist disabled persons are accepted.

11. Take Down

Vendors may not dismantle or remove their booth before 6:00 pm on Sunday, October 5th.  No vehicles may enter the Fairgrounds to pick up booth materials until authorized.  All exhibit material must be removed by 4:00 pm Monday, October 6th.

12. No Smoking

Smoking and vaping are not permitted on Markham Fairgrounds.
